If you want to make a screencast about the application on linux, and share it with others. Here we will show you how to produce linux screencast.

Produce Linux Screencast

1 Download recordMyDesktop and install it.
2 Launch recordMyDesktop.
3 Set the video and sound quality as you want. Sound is optional.
Click “Select Window” to select an aera for recording.

Click “Advanced” button to set the recording options. For example, whether to include windows decorations, how many frames per second the output movies should have, which display to use (if you have several), etc.

4 Click “Record” button to start recording the screen. A small icon will appears in the system tray. When finish recording, click on it.
5 Save the screencast video. Depending on how you setup the application, the default location is the home folder.
