How to Change or Restore Default Windows 7 Desktop Icons
Desktop icons are defined by system theme, You want to change the desktop icons to make your own desktop different from others.Or you have changed the icons on your desktop, now you want to change them back to default icons.
1.Open the Personalize panel by right clicking on a empty area of the desktop and thenPersonalize
2.Click on the Change desktop icons you will see the Desktop Icon Setting window.
highlight the icon you want to change, then press Change icon.
3.In the Change icon window, sellect the icon you want to use instead
Click on OK to confirm your changes, then press Apply button in Desktop Icon Settings window.
4.You can use theBrowse… button to find and use other icon files in your computer, but they need to be 256×256 bit .ico icon files to properly display at larger view settings.
5.To restore a default desktop icon,you should click on the desktop icon first, then pressRestore Default button, the icon will be restored immediately.
